In this scheme, the Government of Punjab will give up to 100,000 Solar Systems free of cost to poor households having consumption from 0-200 units through transparent balloting. In this scheme, 10 billion rupees for 100,000 households 550 and 1100 watts of solar systems. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for these posts. All Punjab candidates can apply for this scheme The Free Solar Panel Scheme is the government’s commitment to promote renewable energy and support modest communities.

Eligibility Criteria for CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme For Consumers
The consumers having monthly consumption of up to 200 units under the following categories are eligible:
- Up to – 50 Units (Life Line)
- 51-100 Units (Life Line)
- 0-100 Units (Protected)
- 0-100 Units (Un-protected)
- 101-200 Units (Protected)
- 101-200 Units (Unprotected)

How to Apply through the Solar Panel Registration Portal
- Interested Consumers can apply online by using this link (cmsolarscheme.punjab.gov.pk)
- Consumers can also apply Via SMS to “Reference-No. <space> CNIC to 8800.”
- Domestic consumers involved in payment default(more than 3 late payments in 12 months)
- Domestic consumers having multiple meters at a single residence shall not be eligible.
- Domestic consumers involved in electricity theft shall not be eligible.
Domestic consumers having defective meters shall not be eligible. - The last date to apply is 19/12/2024.
